Dec 16 How To Choose A Handbag
When looking at handbags, there are many points to consider. Not all bags are alike — and having one that is useful and love is worth it! Here are great tips for choosing a handbag:
Size

When looking at a handbag, purse, clutch or tote, the very first consideration is often size. Getting a purse that is too big, tends to be hard to lug around; too small and you keep wishing for that extra bit of room. So consider the size of bag first. Also know that size affects price. Sometimes smaller bags usually cost more due to the detailed work required.
Strap
How you wear your bag also is extremely important. Do you like to have a shoulder strap? Would you rather have a backpack like bag or short wrist handles? Some clutches come with a shoulder strap; some do not. Knowing what you want first, helps.
Closure
I really love having a zipper closure (though sometimes it is under a flap). Many people don’t care. What type do you love?
Materials

Real leather, solid brass or sturdy metal fittings, and other high quality materials can help your handbag or purse last longer. Silk embroidered bags look gorgeous but often don’t last. Poor quality materials can even break easily such as broken zippers, snaps that don’t work or flaked off tags. On the other hand, for an evening handbag, beaded purses can be extremely stylish.
Pockets
Most of us find pockets help us stay organized. However, if you carry books in your bags, too man pockets can make it challenging. Still for me, the more pockets, generally, the better.
* Inner Pockets
These include section organizers, small pockets, and more. Know how many you use now and how many you would like to have.
* Outer Pockets
Having an outer pocket can be extremely convenient. If you are used to one and your new bag doesn’t have one, you can miss it. On the other hand, some bags without these look really nice. So decide whether you need this functionality.
Designer or Not?

Face it, designer handbags cost more. However, they generally last longer. The high quality materials, excellent workmanship and exquisite styling are all components are a quality designer handbag. Knowing that you are fashionable can also help you feel a bit more confident. Yet, how much having a designer bag is worth to you depends on your individual taste. Some people will only use designer bags, others care more about functionality.
Use
Depending on how much you will use the handbag, can affect how much you are willing to pay — and how what type of materials. If you are hard on bags, get one that is durable.
Niceties
Keychain holders, included wallets, fancy embellishments are all extras that we can love. Know what extras you enjoy.
